France-based “Audio game changer” Digigram has brought to market an optional MPEG-TS service for use in the company’s IQOYA X/LINK and SERV/LINK audio gateway ranges.
As Digigram sees it, the addition of MPEG-TS option offers a wide array of new decoding possibilities for audio pros.
“This added feature brings added value to our existing range, as IQOYA X/LINK and SERV/LINK already provided MPEG-TS compatibility on the encoding phase,” says Stéphane Bert, Digigram’s Pre-Sales Manager. “Now, with this option our audio codecs will be MPEG-TS compatible for decoding, and will allow for the transport of multiple channels over IP networks keeping inter-channel synchronization.”
With hardware untouched, the MPEG-TS option is provided through a simple software upgrade on installed devices.
“We are convinced that offering this simple upgrade to our IQOYA X-LINK and SERV/LINK users will open new possibilities,” Bert adds. “Specifically, IQOYA SERV/LINK will become the perfect choice for setting up digital snakes over WAN IP networks. They will easily transport multiple audio channels for remote productions where audio channels must stay in sync after the transport over the network.”
