On Monday RBR+TVBR was first to report on the acquisition of a low-power television station in Miami by a Tallahassee, Fla.-based licensee led by Kristina Bruni.
Bruni has now signed off on the purchase of another LPTV property, this time in Delaware.
Blue Bird Broadcasting is signing off on the sale of W14DK-D in Dagsboro, Del., to Bruni-led Fair Play Broadcasting.
A $400,000 purchase price has been agreed to, with a $20,000 deposit being held by Crystal Title & Escrow Inc.
Terms call for Blue Bird to seek approval of a lease termination with tower owner K2 Towers II in Seaford, Del. Should that not transpire, Fair Play is assuming Blue Bird’s lease agreement. The current arrangement expires on July 23.
Serving as Blue Bird’s broker in this transaction is Craig Ruark of The Broadcast License Store.
Blue Bird is headed by Charles Bennett, who resides in Washington, D.C. His legal counsel in this transaction is Aaron Shainis of Shainis & Peltzman.
W14KD-D has a signal contour covering much of Southern Delaware, except coastal communities, and is within the Salisbury-Ocean City, Md. market.
