For those who have made the long drive between Los Angeles and Phoenix, a stop in Blythe, Ariz., or Quartzsite, Ariz., just east across the Colorado River from this dusty community, has long been an option.

Here, Marvin Vosper owned and operated stations featuring Oldies and Classic Rock programming, respectively, with the Classic Rocker using a tower high above Cunningham Mountain.

Now, both stations have been transferred to a family member. It comes 10 months after the tragic death of Vosper in an automobile accident.

Editor’s Note: Marvin Vosper’s first name was incorrectly spelled in the initial posting of this story. We regret the error.
