It serves the Biloxi-Gulfport-Pascagoula market with seven digital multicast networks and is the home of the WeatherVision customizable local weather service.
Now, it has a high efficiency solid state VHF digital transmitter in place, bringing the station at digital channel 13 with a PSIP of channel 7 better coverage of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
The installation is the result of a deal with transmitter manufacturer and designer Elenos Group by WXVO-LD.
The station, owned by Edward Saint Pé, airs diginets Antenna TV, Grit TV, SonLife Network, Laff TV, Court TV and Mystery TV. “The installation went smoothly, the transmitter is performing great and delivering more power and I couldn’t be happier” said Saint Pé, who also serves as President of Weathervision.
The 1,200-watt transmitter featured Broadcast Electronics dual redundant next generation high efficiency Doherty amplifier technology.
The project was sold and installed thru BE partner MaxxKonnect Group.
