A Busy Thursday For Q3 Earnings Results

Better brew a full pot of your favorite coffee or get a Quattro-Venti at the Green Apron near you on Thursday morning: no less than five third-quarter earnings reports are set for release.

The fun begins at 8:30am, with iHeartMedia, and hits a fever pitch at 10am — with what at press time will be dueling analyst calls from Beasley Media Group and Urban One.

In a release dated October 24, Urban One indicated that its Q3 earnings call will be held at 10am Eastern.

One week later, Beasley distributed a release that it, too, will host a Q3 earnings call at 10am Eastern.

Each will likely be short affairs, with Beasley declining once again to take live queries from analysts and instead will answer select questions emailed to them up to an hour prior to the earnings call.

While Beasley and Urban One’s executives are scheduled to speak at the same time, Saga Communications will be free and clear of any conflicts, as CFO Sam Bush and CEO Ed Christian reveal their company’s Q3 results at 11am Eastern — two hours after the information is distributed for all to review.

Lastly, a 5pm Eastern call from Entravision will focus on that company’s third quarter results, to be released following Thursday’s Closing Bell on Wall Street.

Entravision’s results come as the company on Tuesday entered into an agreement with Univision Communications to broadcast its 2019-2020 NFL season radio coverage to Univision’s TUDN-branded radio stations in ChicagoDallasHoustonMiami and New York markets.

With the agreement, Entravision’s NFL coverage now includes seven of the top ten U.S. Hispanic markets by population.

Speaking of Univision, the privately held media company will host its Q3 earnings call on Wednesday (11/6) at 10am Eastern.

Finally, Salem Media Group — a company struggling on Wall Street in recent months — will release its Q3 results after Wednesday’s market close.

Also this week: Entercom will release its Q3 results on Friday, Nov. 8, and hold an earnings call at 10am Eastern.

Interestingly, Cumulus Media has selected 4:30pm Eastern on Veterans’ Day to host its Q3 earnings call.
