Four radio brands serving the city that is home to Western Kentucky University are being transferred from the company controlled by Kerby Confer to the licensee that is run by his daughter, Kristin Cantrell.
The deal, filed late Friday with the FCC for its regulatory OK, also includes an LMA agreement with two AMs and their respective FM translators.
Seven Mountain Media, the Cantrell-led operation that uses “Southern Belle LLC” as a licensee name in locales such as Pennsylvania, is agreeing to purchase from Confer’s Forever Communications the following assets:
- Classic Country WLYE-FM 94.1 in Glasgow, Ky.
- Country WBVR-FM 96.7 in Auburn, Ky.
- Top 40 WUHU-FM 107.1 in Smiths Grove, Ky.
- Oldies WBGN-AM 1340 and W233CZ at 94.5 MHz in Bowling Green, Ky.
While a $1,125,000 payment is being made to transfer the properties to 7MM, which sees Jim Loftus in the role of Chief Operations Officer, 7MM is also getting from Forever the lease management agreement allowing it to simulcast WLYE of Royse Radio-owned WCLU-AM 1490 and W253BN in Glasgow, WLLI-FM 102.3 in Munfordville, and W276DO at 103.1 MHz in Glasgow, Ky.
