The nation’s biggest owner of broadcast radio stations and the top podcast producer has committed to contributing “significant” on-air and digital marketing support to help promote the recruitment efforts for USA Bobsled and Skeleton.
The partnership with iHeartMedia also sees the company led by CEO Bob Pittman and COO Rich Bressler become the title sponsor for the USABS 2026 Recruitment Series.
Bobsled and skeleton are unique sports as most athletes do not begin their sliding careers until their late teens or early 20s, transferring athletic skills developed in other sports to the ice track.
Each offseason, USABS hosts in-person recruitment events, as well as a virtual combine, to identify new talent.
For iHeartRadio stations, they’ll play “an active role in helping USABS recruit the next generation of champions for the USA.”
As USABS sees it, the collaboration provides “a valuable opportunity to introduce bobsled and skeleton to a broader audience as the organization continues its mission to recruit world-class talent and win medals for the United States on the world stage.”
Michael Biondo, President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships for iHeartMedia, commented, “We’re proud to partner with USA Bobsled and Skeleton to help amplify their recruitment efforts nationwide. This is an incredible opportunity to inspire new athletes and support the future of the USA team.”
