He’s served as Program Director of Active Rock duo WBYR-FM “98.9 The Bear” in Fort Wayne, Ind., and WRBR-FM “103.9 The Bear” in South Bend, Ind., since 2019. Now, he’s the Director of Operations — overseeing programming, promotions and production — for all of Federated Media‘s stations in the two Indiana markets.
Getting the promotion is Kyle Guderian, who Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Programming James Derby calls “instrumental in elevating our on-air execution, promotions strategy, and workflow alignment. This expanded role reflects the impact he’s already made across our brands.”
Guderian may be a familiar name for many thanks to his 16 years with Emmis Communications, exiting as Director of Marketing for the four St. Louis FMs it once owned. He’s also been Operations Manager of WLUP-FM and WKQX-FM in Chicago.
From 2000-2001, Guderian could be found in Manchester, Vt., working for the late Brooks Brown at eclectic Alternative WEQX-FM, which reaches the Albany-Schenectady-Troy market.
Guderian’s experience also includes programming roles at WEJE in Fort Wayne, Ind., and at WKBH-AM & FM and WFBZ in La Crosse, Wisc.
