On October 20, David Brown, Video Division Chief with the FCC’s Media Bureau, said yes to keeping KENV-DT in Elko, Nev., on VHF Channel 10, negating a planned move to UHF Channel 20 for a Sinclair Inc. property within the vast Salt Lake City DMA. The reason? The company was unable to complete the upgrade in time, based on the three-year window that began July 2023.
Now, Sinclair has gotten Brown’s nod to scrap a VHF-to-UHF shift of a second Salt Lake City-market property.
