A total of 15 regular season games featuring the National Basketball Association’s Indiana Pacers will be simulcast on free-to-air television, thanks to a fresh agreement with Nexstar Media Group.
The live simulcasts of streaming service DAZN’s coverage begin on October 23, with the Pacers game against the Dallas Mavericks appearing on WTTV-TV or WXIN-TV in Indianapolis, the market’s home for CBS and FOX programming. A Nexstar spokesperson confirmed that a game schedule is forthcoming; WTTV and WXIN will not be airing a single game at the same time.
The 15 games will also be simulcast on The CW Network affiliate in Evansville, Ind. — WTVW-TV — and MyNetwork TV affiliate WCIX-TV in Champaign-Urbana, Ill.
According to a press release, both stations will serve as the television home for the 15 Pacers games.
“We are thrilled to partner with DAZN to give Indiana Pacers fans more ways to watch and support their team,” said Matthew Rosenfeld, Executive Vice President of Nexstar’s broadcasting division. “Serving local viewers is at the heart of everything we do, and this partnership combines the reach of local television with the convenience of streaming, making Pacers basketball accessible wherever and however fans choose to watch.”
Nexstar “intends to engage additional stations in the Pacers’ extended territory throughout other parts of Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky, to create a broad network of exposure and reach for the 15 games.”
