It reaches Iowa Falls, to the north, and Marshalltown, to the south, while scraping the cities of Ames and Hampton with its Class C3 FM signal. As of today, this station is being operated via an LMA with its licensee by OnTheGo Media.

As of May 1, KDAO-FM 92.9 in Eldora, Iowa, is under that entity’s control, with management and programming marking “a significant milestone in OnTheGoMedia’s commitment to delivering high-quality local content and innovative broadcasting and advertising solutions across North Central, and now Central Iowa.”

The arrangement comes following the 2025 death of KDAO owner Mark Osmundson.

“Mark Osmundson didn’t just run a radio station; he built a legacy that spanned nearly half a century,” said OnTheGoMedia President Shawn Dietz. “Following his passing last year, we feel a deep responsibility to uphold the high standards of service and integrity that were the hallmarks of Mark’s storied career. We are honored to carry his torch forward.”

Concurrently, MTN Broadcasting’s KDAO-AM 1190 in Marshalltown with translators K279AN/103.7 (Marshalltown) and K232GG/94.3 (Grundy Center) is also under a LMA with OnTheGo.

The OnTheGoMedia station roster also includes KLMJ-FM 104.9 in Hampton and KQCR-FM 98.9 in Parkersburg, which the company acquired in 2022.
