Gray Media, the company that recently rebranded from Gray Television, is saluting two long-time local broadcast television leaders, each of who are retiring at the end of 2024.

One is in the Peach State, while the other is in the Palmetto State.

In Columbus, Georgia, Holly Steuart will retire as the General Manager of WTVM-9, the ABC affiliate for this city.

Concurrently, Scott Sanders is retiring as GM of WMBF-22, the NBC affiliate for the Myrtle Beach-Florence, S.C., DMA.

Steuart has been associated with WTVM since 2013, and also serves as a Regional Vice President with oversight of additional markets in Kansas, Florida and Georgia where Gray owns and operates broadcast TV stations.

Under Steuart’s leadership, WTVM installed state-of-the-art technology that allows “News Leader 9” to produce 50 hours of live local newscasts each week.

Previous career roles include stints as GM of WHP-TV in Harrisburg-York-Lancaster, Pa.; KVVU-TV in Las Vegas; and at KFYR-TV in the Bismarck-Minot, N. Dakota, market. Steuart’s career start came at WTEN-10/WCDC-19 in the Albany-Schenectady-Troy DMA.

In March 2025, Steuart will be inducted into the Georgia Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

For Sanders, a 45-year run in the media industry comes to a conclusion.

Among his past roles are tenures as General Manager of the Fox affiliated stations in both Richmond and Norfolk. He also spent five years in sales management at KTVU-2 in San Francisco.

Sanders began his media career at ad agency Bates Worldwide in New York City.
