DAYTON, OHIO — The Assistant Program Director and Operations Manager for Alpha Media‘s WROU-FM and “Hot 102.9” has been promoted to OM for all of the company’s radio stations serving the Miami Valley.

Earning the new role, which includes oversight of WGTZ “92.9 JACK FM,” Country WCLI-AM and ESPN Radio-affiliated Sports Talk WING-AM, is Kevin Washington.

Washington is a veteran of the radio stations, and has been associated with them for more than two decades.

He reports to Alpha Media/Dayton Sr. VP/Market Manager Brett Beshore, who is “thrilled to be promoting Kevin into this pivotal role.” Beshore continued, “He’s consistently demonstrated strong commitment to the organization’s values and goals, delivering exceptional results with everything he’s undertaken. There’s no one more deserving. He’s the absolute best choice to lead our highly talented team with our heritage brands.”

Washington, who takes on his new role Tuesday (10/1), shared, “I’m excited to take on this new role with Alpha Media. We have great stations in the market and greater people inside the building. I’m looking forward to this next chapter.”

Washington is known to listeners of Hot 102.9 as “Kev Nash,” and can be heard in the 10am-2pm time period on the hip-hop station. Prior to joining the station, he was a Wright State University student and worked at WWSU-FM 106.9.
