MESA, ARIZ. — From 1996 to 2001 he was the General Sales Manager for Sandusky Broadcasting’s Phoenix stations. He’d later spend seven years as GSM for iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel’s radio stations in the Valley of the Sun and in March 2012 took a role as VP of Sales for Automotive Partnerships.

As of today, Art Morales is working with Mike Cutchall as Chief Revenue Officer for the radio stations Cutchall is acquiring from Jeff Trumper.

Morales has confirmed that he is now CRO for Desert Valley Media Group, which in early August said is acquiring the following stations from Trumper through the newly formed Zelus Media:

  • Class C Oldies KOAI-FM 95.1 in Sun City West and K235CB at 94.9 MHz in Chandler, branded as “The Wow Factor”
  • Class C Rhythmic Hot Adult Contemporary KMVA-FM 97.5 in Dewey-Humboldt and Class C1 KZON-FM 103.9 in Gilbert, marketed as “Hot”
  • Class C Hip-Hop KKFR-FM 98.3 in Mayer and K241BQ at 96.1 from Fort McDowell, known as “Power 98.3.” The FM translator has a transmitter atop South Mountain and serves the San Tan Valley

Morales’ appointment is timed with the September 1 LMA of “The Wow Factor, “Hot 97.5/103.9,” and “Power 98.3” in the Phoenix market under Cutchall’s leadership.

He will work alongside Vice President of Sales Todd Burden.
