Ravi Kapur Adds LPTVs In Central California

Jeff Winemiller and his Lowcountry 34 Media has been an active participant in low-power television station deals of late. Now, the South Carolina-based LLC has signed an agreement that will transfer control of three LPTVs in the Golden State to an entity led by the former KGO-7 reporter behind the creation of America’s first-ever 24/7 South Asian-targeted television network.


 

 

Ravi Kapur-led Major Market Broadcasting of California Inc. has agreed to purchase two facilities serving the northern portion of Santa Barbara County, Calif: K07AAN-D and K14TK-D in Santa Maria.

The stations serve an area that includes the city of Lompoc and the “Five Cities” of southern San Luis Obispo County.

A third property is within the Fresno DMA: K19NB-D in the Merced County town of Gustine, Calif.

A $225,000 purchase price has been agreed upon; a $31,875 downpayment is being held by Pohlman Law Group PLC in Ashburn, Va.
