It’s The Truth: A Virginia AM and FM Translator Are Sold

A 1kw AM serving a small town in Southwestern Virginia, along with its FM translator at 104.1 MHz, are being sold.

What does this mean for “The Truth” and its slate of conservative talk programming?

That’s what listeners of WABN-AM 1230 and W281CF may be asking, as the facilities are being spun by Information Communications Corp.

But, few if any changes are anticipated, as one Hill is handing “The Truth” over to another Hill.

The buyer is Broadcast Partners LLC of Tennessee, and it is led by Matthew J. Hill.

ICC happens to be owned in part by Kenneth C. Hill, who will be paid $75,000 for the stations.

Payment is to be made in cash at closing.

There is no broker or finder in this transaction, in which Kenneth Hill will be a 1/3 equity interest holder in Broadcast Partners alongside Timothy Hill and Lydia Martinez.
