An Eastern Okla. Radio Group Is Spun

3

A group of radio stations comprised of a Country, Classic Rock, Farm and Adult Standards quartet that serve a small city along U.S. Highway 69 are being sold.

What does this mean for McAlester Radio?

That’s what some Oklahoma broadcasters may be asking, as Lee Anderson, Manager of Southeastern Oklahoma Radio, has signed off on the sale of the following stations:

  • Class C1 100kw Country KMCO-FM 101.3 in Wilburton, Okla.
  • Class A KTMC-FM 105.1 in McAlester, Okla., a Classic Rocker
  • Class B KNED-AM 1150 and K252FQ at 98.3 MHz in McAlester, which offers Full Service and Classic Country programming alongside Agricultural-focused programming
  • Class C KTMC-AM 1400 and K244FI at 96.7 MHz in McAlester, an Adult Standards station presently airing Christmas music

With Mark Lipp of Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth serving as the buyer’s legal representative, SE Oklahoma Radio is handing the stations to McAlester Streaming Technologies, the stations’ licensee, for $1.2 million.

A $5,000 deposit has been made with the Richard C. Lerblance Trust Account.

The deal was consummated on November 20 and filed for FCC regulatory approval on Tuesday (12/12).
