Ad Revenue Decrease Impacts Disney’s Linear Networks

The fiscal Q4 2023 earnings report from The Walt Disney Co. was released after Wednesday’s Closing Bell on Wall Street, and the biggest takeaway for those in the broadcast media industry is just where its Linear Networks lie in comparison to its Direct-to-Consumer arm.


For the quarter ended September 30, D2C revenue grew by 12%. By comparison, Linear Networks revenue, which includes ABC Owned Stations, declined by 9% year-over-year.
