Adam Kurtz today serves as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Chicago region for the nation’s No. 1 owner of radio stations, iHeartMedia.
He now has a deputy, with the VP/Sales role going to the former Local Sales Manager for TelevisaUnivision‘s stations in the nation’s third-largest market.
Taking the post is Bill Davis, who joined TelevisaUnivision in November 2017 after heading up the sales efforts for Emmis Communications’ former Chicago radio stations.
Davis has also served as GSM of CBS Radio’s former Las Vegas stations, and before that held a similar role for Beasley Media Group’s properties in Southern Nevada. Before taking that role, in June 2008, Davis was employed by iHeartMedia predecessor Clear Channel Communications, serving as Director of National Sales for its radio stations in Richmond and Norfolk.
From June 2004-March 2007, Davis was in Los Angeles, and served as LSM for KKBT-FM and KRBV-FM under Urban One ownership.
But, from 1999 until moving to Southern California, Davis held a role not-so dissimilar to his new one: Davis was Director of National Sales for WGCI-AM & FM, WVAZ-FM, WNUA-FM, WLIT-FM, WKSC-FM and WRLL-AM — all stations owned by Clear Channel in Chicago.
Davis, whose career in radio began in 1996 as an ABC Radio account manager in Chicago, commented, “It’s good to be back with the team and back home. I am looking forward to working with Matt, Adam and the entire Chicago team, while utilizing iHeart’s extensive assets to maximize our ratings and revenue.”
Matt Scarano, President of iHeartMedia’s Chicago Region, added, “Bill brings nearly 30 years of sales experience to our team, and we look forward to him coaching our local sales team to new heights.”
