HWG partner Michael Nilsson has solved problems for clients in the media industry and elsewhere for more than twenty years. He represents these clients before the FCC, Congress, DOJ, the U.S. Copyright Office, and foreign regulators—as well as in commercial negotiations.

Among these clients is DirecTV, which on June 29 filed an informal complaint with the Commission alleging that Nexstar Media Group — the nation’s biggest TV station ownership group — had violated various Commission rules by exercising de facto control over two independently owned licensees it has shared services agreements with.

On Tuesday, Nilsson updated the FCC on the matter by addressing Nexstar’s responses to two allegations DirecTV presented to the Commission.
