An Operative SVP Takes A Platform Monetization Post at Nexstar

She most recently served as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing & Partnerships at Operative, known for its broadcast management software used by linear and digital media, where she led a team of sales executives responsible for commercial strategy and revenue growth across all of the company’s customer markets and products.


As of today, this 25-year industry veteran is in the newly created role of Executive Vice President of Platform Monetization & Strategy at Nexstar Media Group.

Taking the position is Jamie Calandruccio, who will be responsible for developing Nexstar’s revenue management strategy for ad sales, optimizing the company’s advertising inventory and strengthening its programmatic business.

Calandruccio will work closely with Nexstar’s sales team to increase revenue and serve client needs through informed, data-driven decisions, and strategic inventory analytics. She reports to Nexstar EVP and Chief Revenue Officer Michael Strober.

“Jamie’s well-established relationships and vast pricing, planning, and forecasting experience across an extensive portfolio of ad sales products, along with her strategic vision, make her the ideal leader for our sales organization,” Strober said. “She will hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.”

Calandruccio was appointed SVP of Product Marketing and Business Development at Operative in December 2020, joining the company from Channel Media Solutions, where she was SVP of Advanced Advertising Solutions. There, Calandruccio helped clients transform their business’s operations to support and scale advanced advertising and converged sales through the use of technology and data.

Prior to Channel Media, Calandruccio served as Vice President of Sales Planning & Operations at AT&T/DirecTV, where she had oversight of pricing, inventory, revenue management, operations, traffic, billing and collections across all of their advertising platforms. Calandruccio was instrumental in developing and scaling the first-to-market national addressable TV product during her time there.
