First, a January 13 status conference tied to his Hearing Designation Order was postponed because of “a medical procedure” the FCC learned of after e-mail communication had been sent incorrectly to the Commission.
At the time, the Commission’s Administrative Law Judge, Jane Hinckley Halprin, was less than thrilled with Roger Wahl, a convicted felon who stands to lose his license for WQZS-FM 93.3 in Meyersdale, Pa.
Now, Halprin’s patience may be at its thinnest point yet in this matter, as she issued on Friday a Discovery Order that compels Wahl to comply to discovery requests from the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau in the proceeding. If not, the road to his station’s death will be paved.
