Clarke Exits Cox For Sinclair’s Toledo Chair

A veteran radio industry sales executive who started his career at a pair of Birmingham, Ala., FM stations in 1991 has been selected to serve as Station Manager and Director of Sales for Sinclair Broadcast Group‘s NBC affiliate in Toledo, Ohio.


Effective immediately, Myrland Clarke (pictured) is now at the helm of WNWO-24 in Toledo, Ohio.

“I’m excited to join the Sinclair team and look forward to leading the dedicated staff at WNWO,” said Clarke. “Along with fostering a culture of winning, I will empower our team to better identify and satisfy our clients’ and community’s needs.”

Clarke shifts to the Northwest Ohio market after serving as Local Sales Manager for Cox Media in Mobile from 2016-2017, and in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., from 2015-2016.

Clarke’s prior experience includes roles as an account executive for iHeartRadio predecessor Clear Channel Communications at its New Orleans cluster, from 2013-2015, and as a LSM for MVPD operator Cable One in Gulfport, Miss., from 2018-2012.

He began his career as an AE for WAGG-FM & WENN-FM in Birmingham, in 1991.
