Tiffany Clutter’s Coffee County Broadcasting, Inc. has signed an agreement to sell a Tennessee AM and its associated FM translator.
WHMT is licensed to Tullahoma, Tenn., which is in the southern portion of the state, some 76 miles northwest of Chattanooga.
The buyer is GRA Communications, LLC. Company President Greg Roberson has 34% equity in the company, while CEO Russell Leonard and CFO Almeda Roberson each have 33% ownership stakes.
The price is $260,000. The buyer was to pay a 10% deposit of $26,000 to be placed in escrow and applied to the price; The $234,000 balance is to be paid at closing.
The deal includes the Tullahoma 5-acre tower site; the main studio is now in Manchester.
WHMT is a Class C non-DA AM transmitting 250 watts day/11 night from a single tower; it operates on 740 kHz.
W286BG is a 250 watt FM translator that re-transmits WHMT’s signal on 105.1 MHz.
