The Regent Trust, the temporary holding company of ill-fated Regent Communications, has officially turned the group over to its new owner, Townsquare Media, except for two stations that lost grandfathered status during the transfer of control.
The closing of the transaction makes official Townsquare’s filing to take over the group, which occurred in late April. It has since been running the group in an LMA. The transfer was consummated a minute after midnight 7/1/10.
Broadcast Management and Technology President/CEO Jay Meyers will hang onto KPEL-FM in the Lafayette LA market and KARS-FM Laramie WY in the Fort Collins-Greeley CO market with the express purpose of trying to sell the properties.
