Live365 Shuttering

Music-NotesReports surfaced late Thursday that Live365 intends to shut down completely.

The streamer is telling its stations it plans to close by the end of the month, meaning stop maintaining its streaming services and Web hosting platform.

The pressures caused by the loss of longtime investors and the impact of the Copyright Royalty Board decision, which raised royalty rates for pureplay streamers at the beginning of the year, are factors. At the time, we reported the effect could greatly impact smaller webcasters.

We recently reported the company severely downsized in December.
