A contract has been signed and an application has been filed with the FCC for the transfer of full power WIWN-TV Milwaukee (Independent) from from Pappas Telecasting of
Wisconsin/WWAZ License, LLC (collectively, the Seller) to Caballero Acquisition LLC. Kalil & Co. is the exclusive broker for the deal.
The Seller, Pappas Telecasting of Wisconsin/WWAZ License, LLC, is a California-based company, headed by David Stapleton, as Trustee. Pappas Telecasting also owns television stations in Georgia, Nebraska, and Iowa.
The sole member of Caballero Acquisition LLC is CNZ Communications LLC. CNZ Communications is a California-based company headed by industry vets Terry Crosby and Randy Nonberg. Caballero also owns and
operates six television stations in California and Texas that were part of a 9 station package that it acquired, last year, from Viacom, including stations in Austin, San Antonio, Fresno, Salinas, San Luis Obispo and Santa
Maria, CA.
