This Big Radio Player Just Sold An SLC AM

A Class C AM in Salt Lake City has been divested by one of the nation’s biggest broadcasting companies. The buyer is a religious non-profit, which will likely air Spanish-language programming tailored to Pentecostal listeners.For a price of $55,000, Pastor Juan Gilberto López’s Pentecostal Church of God is acquiring KRUZ-AM 1230 in Murray, Utah from Cumulus Media.


This marks the first radio station for the church, and it’s actually acquiring KRUZ from what is legally Cumulus and Radio License Holding CBC LLC, a Delaware limited liability company; Cumulus is a Nevada corporation.

The church has made a $10,000 deposit, with Jerold L. Jenkins serving as Cumulus’ escrow agent.
