YouTube Surpasses Netflix as Top U.S. Streaming Platform

In December 2022, YouTube TV made history by landing the National Football League’s Sunday Ticket package, shifting it from satellite-delivered DirecTV to a streaming platform, effective with the 2023 NFL Season.


While that singular event, along with channel additions to its lineup that include Sinclair Broadcast Group’s digital multicast networks, will undoubtedly let that service grow, the bigger YouTube brand is already the No. 1 streaming platform in the U.S.
