An FM radio station serving Yazoo City from the nearby town of Belzoni and its Class D AM sibling, along with that station’s FM translator, are heading to a new owner.
Signing off on the purchase for the buyer are Members Michael Donovan Jr. and Emily Tillman.
Rylice Radio is agreeing to purchase WELZ-AM 1460 in Belzoni, Miss., and FM translator W262DE at 100.3 MHz in Yazoo City, in addition to Country WBYP “Power 107” in Belzoni.
The seller is Colon Johnson and Zoo-Bel Broadcasting LLC.
A $200,000 purchase price was agreed upon, with a $10,000 deposit made to the seller.
Johnson owns the real estate for each tower site. A lease agreement is being executed between Johnson and Rylice.
There is no broker or finder associated with this transaction.
