A media industry veteran with more than 25 years of management and sales experience at such media entities as The Weather Channel, The New York Times and Crain Communications has joined Cumulus Media’s Westwood One for a top regional sales role.

At the same time, a longtime Premiere Networks sales leader has joined WW1 as its new Director of National Partnerships.

Joining WW1 as VP/Strategic Partnership, Midwest Sales is Linda Ramsey. She previously served as Integrated Sales Director for The Atlantic. Prior to that, she was a cable sales AE for The Weather Channel. From 2000-2012, she served as an advertising director at the Times.

She’s joined by Jean Ferrari, who will oversee national partnerships and collaborate with agency partners to provide “strategic marketing solutions leveraging Westwood One’s portfolio of multimedia assets, award-winning content, digital audio, insights, and experiential opportunities.”

Ferrari is based in New York and reports to EVP/Northeast Sales Ron Russo. Ferrari sent the last year as a sales manager at PodcastOne, following a 17-year stint at Premiere Networks. She began her career in 1994 at Katz Radio Group as a Sales AE.

Commenting on the appointments, WW1 Sales President Steve Shaw said, “As America’s largest radio network, we are attracting exceptional sales talent. Jean and Linda’s formidable experience and agency relationships will give our New York and Detroit offices an even bigger edge in the marketplace. We couldn’t be more excited to welcome both of these all-stars to the team.”
