A Swap, With Cash, For Edgewater

0

Idaho non-profit religious radio operation Edgewater Broadcasting has largely been selling off its assets, primarily many of its FM translators across the country.

Now, it is engaging in an asset swap.

It makes perfect sense. The station Edgewater is getting airs programming it produces and supplies from its Twin Falls headquarters.

Edgewater is agreeing to give up Class A WSIZ-FM 102.3 in Jacksonville, Ga., serving the small town of Fitzgerald, Ga., and two FM translators: W251AU in Ocilla, Ga., due south of Fitzgerald; and Douglas-based W260BU.

The properties are being transferred to Middle Georgia Community Radio — along with $55,000.

In return, Edgewater will own Freedom Radio FM affiliate WKIH-FM 90.3 in Vidalia, Ga., covering communities due west of Statesboro, Ga.

Freedom Radio FM can be heard in 21 U.S. states and airs worship music from acts including for KING & COUNTRY and Elevation Worship alongside talk and teaching segment.

There is no broker or finder associated with this transaction.

While Edgewater had been paring down its collection of properties, Freedom Radio FM is in no danger of ceasing operations in any way.
