104.3 WOMC OM/PD Tim Roberts announced that the station will launch its new morning show on 5/24, replacing the retiring Dick Purtan. 20-year morning radio vet Bobby Mitchell and Detroit’s own Chuck Gaidica will team up to form the nucleus of the new WOMC morning show. The Bobby Mitchell Show with Chuck Gaidica will air live weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., stream online at www.womc.com and air through mobile devices. The Bobby Mitchell Show with Chuck Gaidica will also include veteran newsman Bob Schuman and producer Rachel Nevada.

Mitchell returns to Detroit from Dallas where he has been hosting The Saturday 80’s Show for the ABC Radio Network. No stranger to morning radio, Mitchell hosted the KPLX Morning Show in Dallas, where he was a favorite with adults 25-54.

Gaidica, a longtime, highly popular presence on Detroit radio and television, has over 28 years of radio broadcasting experience and has been the Director of Meteorology at WDIV TV in Detroit since 1987. He is a two-time Emmy-award winner, has been voted Detroit’s top weathercaster year after year in The Metro Times-Best of Detroit edition and is well-known for his popular Cuddle Alerts.
