Greater Media Philadelphia announced Smooth Jazz 97.5 WJJZ is now broadcasting with the maximum permissible signal for an FM radio station in the Northeast. The new signal strength will mean a significant improvement in the sound quality and reach of WJJZ's coverage throughout the Delaware Valley, including Philadelphia, Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Camden, Gloucester and Wilmington, DE. The tower itself was moved from Burlington, NJ to where it resides now in Wyndmoor (just outside Philadelphia).
Greater Media VP/Engineering Milford Smith tells RBR the power is 26 kW @ 683' HAAT: "Initial reports are very favorable and those smooth jazz listeners are super loyal."
