With Quorum Needed, FCC’s Gómez ‘Safe’

The Supreme Court’s decision in Trump, et. al. v. Slaughter, handed down on June 29, upends some 90 years of precedent in how much leeway a president has in dismissing a Commissioner at a federal agency such as the Federal Trade Commission or the Federal Communications Commission.


One noted Washington, D.C. communications attorney doesn’t believe the ruling will have an immediate impact on the FCC, however.
