Travel one hour west of Helena, Montana, and you’ll reach the small town of Deer Lodge. Here, an AM radio silent has fallen silent, as has an FM translator at 99.3 MHz and 20kw FM.
The owner passed away. He had no will. Now, the stations are being involuntary transferred to a family member.
KBCK-AM, translator K257AF and KQRV-FM in Deer Creek are being transferred from Robert Cummings Toole to Karen L. Toole.
She will oversee Robert’s estate, with Joseph Chautin III of Hardy, Carey, Chautin & Balkin serving as the legal counsel in this Form 316 filing.
A December 16 filing confirms Powell County, Mont., jurisdictional approval of Karen Toole’s appointment as a personal representative of a will and estate established port-mortem for Robert Toole.
Toole passed away on November 20.
In accordance with 73.3541(b), an application for involuntary assignment of the station licenses must be filed within 30 days after a decedent licensee’s death.
