Is the Whoopie Goldberg Morning Show starting to lose interest with listeners? Perhaps so, at least in Philadelphia: Clear Channel Radio’s My 106.1 announced it is replacing Whoopi with a mix of music and current afternoon air personality Logan hosting beginning 11/19.
Said My 106.1 PD Brian Check: "This has been a great opportunity and a lot of fun to have Whoopi launch our station but now she’s going to concentrate on her endeavors in New York. This allows My 106.1 to focus on the main reason why people come to us and that’s our music."
Whoopi also recently lost WLIT-FM Chicago and KOCN-FM Monterey-Santa Cruz. She’s got eight or so affiliates left.
