In our daily scan of the world’s broadcast media trades, a headline appearing on the website of British TV trade publication Advanced Television caught our eye.


According to a study conducted over a three-day period in May, more than half of U.S. pay television subscribers did not see having live sports channels as an important consideration.

Should ESPN start to panic? Not exactly, given who conducted the “study” and how it was done.
