It is an independent platform in competitive golf comprising three integrated tours. And it has secured a “landmark sponsorship” naming iHeartMedia its Official Media Partner.
The arrangement with NXXT Golf is being hailed by the group behind the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour; NXXT Faldo Junior Tour; and NXXT Battle League as “one of the most significant audio sponsorships ever committed to women’s and junior competitive golf.”
The deal allows iHeartMedia to deploy “its unmatched multiplatform ecosystem spanning live broadcast radio, podcasts, digital streaming and live events” to “amplify” NXXT’s players and championship events, the nation’s largest audio content creation and distribution company boasts in an announcement released Thursday.
Specifically, iHeartMedia will serve as a title and presenting sponsor across NXXT Golf’s premier event portfolio – including the NXXT Faldo Junior Tour, the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour, and the season’s most prestigious championship events.
Why did the company led by CEO Bob Pittman and COO Rich Bressler agree to the deal? It explains that iHeart’s broader sports portfolio includes iHeart Women’s Sports, which it calls the first audio platform built exclusively for amplifying women’s sports. There are also partnerships with U.S. Ski & Snowboard and U.S. Figure Skating in the mix.
“This partnership with NXXT Golf reflects iHeartMedia’s commitment to fueling the future of sport by connecting fans with the athletes and moments that define the next generation of the game,” said Michael Biondo, President of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at iHeartMedia. “We’re proud to amplify NXXT Golf’s mission through the power of radio, podcasts and streaming audio – bringing new audiences to the sport and supporting the next generation of elite talent.”
