CBS has dropped the all-news format on Washington, DC’s WNEW(FM). In a Local Marketing Agreement with Bloomberg, the format has changed to general and business news under the Bloomberg label.
CBS retains ownership of the station at 99.1 MHz. The all-news format began in 2012 as a challenger to WTOP, consistently a top earner in the country, according to BIA/Kelsey.
