Matthew Wesolowski in late 2020 made headlines for successfully selling the Class B AM and its associated FM translator bringing BIN: Black Information Network to Jackson, Miss.
He’s also seeking a Class C4 FM license classification established at the FCC.
Now, he’s decided to spin a construction permit for an FM radio station licensed to operate in a tiny Utah community just outside of the city of St. George.
Wesolowski’s SSR Communications is agreeing to part ways with what will be KCAY-FM 100.7 in Dammeron Valley, Utah, relocating from a city in Nevada.
The buyer is Gerdes and Associates, headed by Mike Gerdes.
A $250,000 purchase price has been agreed upon by the parties, with a $12,500 escrow deposit made by Gerdes to Wesolowski.
At closing, $112,500 will be paid in cash to SSR, while the remaining $125,000 will be honored by a Promissory Note. Gerdes will also pay legal fees for both parties, not to exceed $2,000.
Jon Yinger of Broadcast Properties LLC is the broker in this transaction, and will retain $10,000 from the escrow deposit.
