A Class A FM with a signal serving a listening area to the southwest of Huntsville, Ala., is trading hands. The new owner, pending FCC approval, is an individual known for his efforts behind the unfulfilled notion of a FCC-licensed “Class C4” FM radio station.

An asset purchase agreement signed on August 10 and submitted this week for regulatory approval sees Matthew Wesolowski-led SSR Communications move ahead with the acquisition of WQAH-FM 105.7 in Addison, Ala.

The seller is Abercrombie Broadcasting FM, led by Alvin Keith and Pam Abercrombie.

A $180,000 purchase price has been agreed upon, with a 10% escrow deposit made to the Abercrombies by Wesolowski.

The deal includes the station’s property in Hartselle, Ala., and equipment such as two Nautel VS 2.5 transmitters, and an Orban Optimod-FM Digital 2300 to be delivered to the transmitter site from the studio.
