Led by two editions of “America’s Got Talent,” which were the top two non-sports programs of the week in adults 18-49 and were the top two telecasts overall in total viewers, NBC ranked #2 in adults 18-49 and total viewers for the primetime week of July 11-17, averaging a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 5.2 million viewers overall.
Tuesday’s two-hour edition of “America’s Got Talent” was the #1 program of the week in adults 18-49, adults 18-34, adults 25-54, total viewers and other key measures, as well as kids 2-11 and teens 12-17.
Also ranking among the top programs of the week in primetime’s key demographic of adults 18-49 were the Wednesday edition of “America’s Got Talent,” which ranked #3 among all programs, behind only Tuesday’s “Talent” and Fox’s telecast of the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. A Tuesday 8 p.m. ET encore presentation of “America’s Got Talent” ranked #12 (tied) and “Love in the Wild” ranked #18 (tied) among primetime programs this week in adults 18-49.
With 14.1 million and 11.4 million viewers overall respectively, the Tuesday and Wednesday editions of “America’s Got Talent” were the #1 and #2 programs of the week in total viewers, with both telecasts topping Baseball’s All-Star Game (11.0 million).
Primetime averages for the week of July 11-17 in adults 18-49 were Fox (1.7/6), NBC (1.4/4), CBS and ABC (1.3/4) and CW (0.3/1). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (6.0 million), NBC (5.2 million), Fox (5.0 million), ABC (4.7 million) and CW (0.8 million).
