Week 33: Univision finished as fifth most-watched network

Univision was the #1 Broadcast Network in Primetime on Friday night among all Adults 18-34 for the 29th time (out of 33 weeks) this season.


Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of May 2, 2011 to May 8, 2011

For the 29th time (out of 33 weeks) so far this season, Univision was the #1 network among Adults 18-34 on Friday night, airing the top 2 most-watched programs on broadcast television with #1 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) and #2 “Teresa.” Univision also delivered more Adult 18-49 viewers than the season premiere of “Flashpoint” on CBS as well as the season finale of “Fringe” on FOX.

Univision also finished as the fifth most-watched network for the entire week in primetime among Adults 18-34 (1 million), Adults 18-49 (1.8 million) and Total Viewers 2+ (3.4 million).

Season-to-Date, Univision continues to post year-to-year primetime audience increases among Adults 18-49 (+8%) while the English-language broadcast networks are reporting audience declines (ABC -9%, CBS -8%, NBC -14%, and FOX -5%); Univision’s audience also increased among Total Viewers 2+ (+7%) and Adults 18-34 (+8%).

Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights among Adults 18-34.

During the 10PM to 11PM hour, Univision’s novela “Triunfo del Amor” garnered the #2 spot for the network during primetime for the entire week among Adults 18-34, and #4 among both Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers 2+.

On Saturday night, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #3 broadcast network in prime time, out-delivering CBS and NBC among Adults 18-34 (491,000).

Sunday night’s two-hour broadcast of the tenth episode of Univision’s fifth season of “Nuestra Belleza Latina” (Our Latin Beauty) attracted 3.2 million Total Viewers 2+. The series’ current fifth season-to-date continues to show growth versus the comparable previous season averaging more Total Viewers 2+ (+15%), Adults 18-49 (+19%) and Adult 18-34 (+17%).
