Univision Ranks as the #3 Broadcast Network, Finishing Ahead of CBS and NBC, in Overall Primetime Among ALL Adults 18-34, Regardless of Language.


Univision Highlights – NPM Broadcast Prime Week of 02/21/11:

Univision finished the week as the #3 broadcast network, ahead of CBS and NBC, in overall primetime among Adults 18-34 (1.0 million).  Additionally, Univision ranked #2 among Kids 2-11 (519,000), #4 among Teens 12-17(206,000) and #5 among Total Viewers 2+ (3.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.8 million).

 Last week, Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX on every night among Adults 18-34, on 5 out of 7 nights among Adults 18-49, 6 out of 7 nights among Teens 12-17 and on 2 out of 7 nights among Total Viewers 2+.

 For the week, Univision had 5 of the Top 30 primetime programs on broadcast television among Adults 18-34.

 In the current 2010-11 Season, Univision continues to be the broadcast network with the highest primetime audience increases versus the comparable period last season among Adults 18-49 (+6%) and Adults 18-34 (+5%).

 On Friday night, Univision was the most-watched broadcast network among Adults 18-34 (1.1 million) and Teens 12-17 (269,000); out-delivering its closest competitors FOX by +18% and ABC by +25%, respectively.  Univision also finished as the #3 ranked broadcast network among Adults 18-49 (2.0 million) on Friday night.

 The two most-watch programs on Friday night among Adults 18-34 were on Univision: #1 “Eva Luna” and #2 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love).  Additionally, Teens 12-17 made Univision’s primetime line-up top choice for the night with #1 “Rosa de Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe), #2 “Eva Luna” and #3 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love).

 In the 8pm hour, “Eva Luna” helped Univision rank as the #2 broadcast network in the hour among Adults 18-34 (1.4 million) and Women 18-34 (809,000), ranked #3 among Teens 12-17 (300,000) and #4 among Adults 18-49 (2.5 million) and Women 18-49 (1.4 million).  Last week the novela delivered its second-highest weekly performance since premiering on 11/01/10 among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Persons 12-34.

 “Triunfo del Amor” (Triumph of Love) made Univision the #3 broadcast network in the M-F/9pm hour among Adults 18-34 (1.3 million) and Women 18-34 (734,000) and ranked #4 among Teens 12-17(266,000).

 At 10pm, Univision’s checker-board block helped attain the #2 broadcast network position among adults 18-34 (1.0 million) and Teens 12-17 (193,000); beating NBC and CBS, respectively.

 On Saturday night, “Sábado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) made Univision the #2 broadcast network, behind FOX, among Adults 18-34 (688,000) and ranked #4 among Adults 18-49 (1.1 million) and Teens 12-17 (89,000).

 Sunday night, Univision out-delivered NBC among Adults 18-34 (565,000) making it the #4 ranked broadcast network  for the night.

Univision’s Sunday night special presentation of “La Rosa de Guadalupe” (The Rose of Guadalupe” delivered more Adults 18-34 than CBS’s “60 Minutes Presents,” “Undercover Boss” and NBC’s entire primetime line-up.
