A down day on Wall Street turned into an up day as investors seemed to gain confidence that Europe would work out its economic problems. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended with a gain of 141 points, or 1.3%, at 11,247. Broadcasting stocks also had an up day.
The RBR Radio Index was up 4.300, or 1.6%, to 271.346.
The TVBR Television Index was up 5.844, or 3%, to 200.818.
