Stocks shot up in early trading Thursday on news that Germany was backing a financial bailout for Greece. But then traders began to worry that the recent stock price run-up had run its course and the rally faded to a mixed close. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up five points to 10,841, but the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 were slightly lower. Broadcasting stocks managed gains.
The RBR Radio Index was 2.219, or 0.9%, to 253.596.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.423, or 0.3%, to 152.257.
