Its properties include seven distinct television brands serving the Delmarva region and a collection of FM radio stations stretching from Wilmington, Del., and Havre de Grace, Md., to its home market of Salisbury-Ocean City, Md.
As of today, these properties are under the leadership of a new President.
Earning the role at Draper Media is Bill Vernon, putting him in control of WBOC-TV and affiliated brands CoastTV, Delmarva Sports Network, FOX21, WBOC Classics, Telemundo Delmarva and MyCOZI TV in Salisbury-Ocean City.
At the same time, he’ll oversee 12 audio brands and Loblolly LLC, the entity that oversees a family-run farm and venue for concerts, weddings, community events, and celebrations based in Central Delaware.
Vernon rises from VP, a role he earned in December 2024. He joined Draper Media in July 2020 and was later named General Manager of the Delmarva Sports Network (DSN).
“Bill has demonstrated exceptional leadership at every level of this company since the day he arrived,” said Molly Draper Russell, President/CEO of Draper Holdings. “In less than six years, he has grown the Delmarva Sports Network from a startup venture into a thriving local sports destination, taken on oversight of our radio portfolio, and earned the trust of everyone he’s worked with. Bill is the right person to lead Draper Media into its next chapter, and I have complete confidence in his vision for this company.”
