She’s a well-known personality across the Triangle region of North Carolina, thanks to her role as the midday host for “Foxy 107/104.” Now, she’s expanding her role within Urban One by taking a key marketing role in Raleigh-Durham.

As such, the Radio One Raleigh unit inside the publicly traded company helmed by Alfred Liggins III has named Karen Clark its Marketing Director.

In this role, she will oversee marketing strategy, promotions, experiential campaigns, community engagement and audience development for the Adult R&B “Foxy 107/104” simulcast audible across a wide swath of the region, in addition to Hip-Hop WQOK “K97.5” and WNNL “The Light 103.9.”

She’ll keep her on-air duties at WFXC-FM, and will continue as a bi-weekly trending topics contributor on WTVD “ABC11,” the ABC Owned Stations property serving the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville DMA.

Prior to returning to radio full time, Clark worked in artist promotions for Columbia
Records and Capitol Records. She later co-founded the nationally recognized wedding
and event planning company Something Borrowed, Something Blue, whose work was
featured on Style Network programming.

“Karen Clark’s talent goes well beyond just being on the air,” said Mitch Galvin, General
Manager of Radio One Raleigh. “She is a vastly experienced marketer who understands
the intricacies of radio in all capacities. Her vision toward the future and her passion for
the radio industry make her the perfect person to take Radio One Raleigh to the next
level. We are thrilled to have her maximizing all of these talents for us.”

Clark added, “Radio has always been about connection. I’m excited to help create new
opportunities for our stations to engage audiences, support community partnerships and
deliver meaningful experiences for listeners and advertisers throughout the Triangle.”
