Hailing from CBS Radio’s 1010 WINS-AM, Davis will oversee all ad sales for Univision Local Media’s 70 radio stations in major U.S. Hispanic markets and Puerto Rico. Based in New York, he will report to David Lawenda, president, Univision Ad Sales and Marketing and to Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio. Davis will also interface with with Chris Munoz, EVP/GM of Katz Radio Group’s Univision Radio National Sales, based in Dallas.

Davis spent the bulk of his career at CBS Radio NYC, initially at WFAN, and most recently at the legendary WINS. Prior to his return to CBS Radio, Davis was with Cox Radio from 2006 to 2009 as VP/GM of its Southern Connecticut cluster of stations, where in his first year he led them to their highest cash flow year ever. He also was at the helm in July 2006 when WPLR, one of the stations he was managing, became the highest rated rock station in the country.

The addition comes after Univision Radio President Jose Valle (former Univision Radio LA VP/GM) recently streamlined his division, letting go of Univision Radio’s internal research company SIP EVP David Gleason and SVP Ismar Santa Cruz; Houston Ops Manager Arnulfo Ramirez; KLVE-FM LA PD Fernando Perez and Pete Manriquez, VP format manager for the Kalle format. The company also reportedly let go the Operations Manager and PD for its “Recuerdo” format.
